My son has a master's degree and he is currently working in Toronto.
After completing MBA in Tamil Nadu he did two years of Post-Graduate course in Toronto specializing in Business Analyst and IT Project Management. He has been staying in Canada since 2013. He stays in Canada holding the permanent residence status .We come from an affluent family background with traditional values.
People describe him as knowledgeable, modest, responsible, soft-spoken and independent. His hobbies and interests are traveling and nature loving. He is a pure vegetarian with 100% clean habit with modern outlook. He is by nature very flexible & understanding. He is tall, fair, and handsome. Wanting to settle in Canada/US soon.
Sandeep has lived in Delhi, Dubai, and Toronto. Exposure to such vastly different cultures has allowed him to develop a very understanding and flexible demeanor. While he respects and values South Indian / Brahmin traditions, he knows that it is important to have an open mind and a modern outlook towards life. Sandeep is currently focused on his career, however; In his free time, he enjoys clicking photographs, watching movies, listening to some good music, and exploring the city. He loves dogs and will most certainly keep one as a family pet (be prepared =)). Sandeep's friends have mostly been from North India - consequently he loves chatting away in Hindi and English. At home he speaks in a blend of Tamil, English, Hindi, and at times Punjabi (with his Mom, who speaks about a million different languages - more on this as you get to know our family). He has a very friendly and like-able personality, and knows that it is as important to listen as it is to talk.
In my sons words:
I am a chartered Accountant by profession but diversified in to Finance and General management and strategy as a Career. I have been admitted in to the morning part-time MBA program at University of Toronto with entrance scholarship starting July of 2018.
I am an independent, social and humorous person and moderately built. I am obsessed about my fitness and going to Gym is part of my daily routine. I am very health conscious as much I am a food lover and probably the most typical fan of the traditional Indian food. I also relish Thai and Italian Vegetarian Cuisine.
As much as I am very modern in outlook I do attach importance to our culture and tradition. I believe in daily prayers as it keeps me calm under all circumstances.
I am teetotaler and vegetarian by choice but I am very comfortable in all social settings. Having attended McGill University for my undergraduate which attracts students from all over the globe, I have great friends all over the world including Africa, Asia and Europe.
I am surrounded by a large extended family. My father has 4 sisters and 4 brothers. My paternal aunts uncles and cousins are highly educated and very well placed live in different parts of the world. My mother has 2 sisters and a brother. My maternal aunts and my uncle is very well placed but reside in India between Chennai and Bangalore. I enjoy the strong bonding that each of them have with me and especially my cousin sisters and cousin brothers.
I love exploring different parts of the world and travelled extensively across Europe, Asia and North America. I have done a few back pack tours in Asia and Europe with likeminded friends.
I was born in Chennai and attended PSBB K.K.Nagar and migrated to Canada while studying Grade 5 while maintaining my friendship with my classmates from Grade 5. I maintain my roots and traditions and often visit India and make it a point to visit the temples to satisfy my spiritual and artistic cravings. I love its rich artistic imagery and sculpture that our temples are adorned with. I am very passionate about animal welfare and never miss an opportunity to contribute.
I occasionally travel for work to meet my customers across North America and Europe. My deep sense of curiosity often allows me to meet a lot of people from different cultures and backgrounds, thus making it interesting to learn a lot from these parts of the world too.
Reading is yet another passion that I pursue whenever I find the time. It helps to keep up with politics, economy, social and cultural issues. I play team sports especially Soccer and Tennis at my work and with my friends as it gives me yet another opportunity to socialize and manage stress.
I grew up with both my paternal and maternal grandparents who are all well versed in Carnatic music. Their involvement and enthusiasm gradually cultivated the love for Carnatic Music in me. I have done a formal Arangetram and it is my dream to learn Hindustani Classical Music in the near future.
My job requires me to travel and spend late hours at the office as I am aspiring to become a member of the senior management before I am 35. Hence I shall expect my partner to be strong-willed, optimistic, and independent who can handle everything with a sparkle in her eyes.
I hope to meet a partner with similar value system, interests, loving, well educated, affectionate, classy and modern but firmly rooted in traditions and down to earth. I will definitely support my partner to pursue education, career and artistic pursuits such as classical dance or Music.
I expect my partner to support my busy schedule for the next 3 years as I will be studying part-time MBA in a world class university and working in a senior management position.
In his own words:
I am naturally friendly and very easily approachable. I am very keen about understanding business models and love reading about business, investing and psychology. I enjoy learning new things that are inside my circle of interests. For example, I am not pushed too much to learn a new language but very much interested to learn a new method for valuing a business or learn more about dieting or fitness or yoga. That being said, I am definitely open to increasing the boundary of my circle of interests.
I am very much an active person and I love the outdoors. I was a national level cyclist and also a recreational half ironman Triathlete (Swimming/Biking and Running). Right now, I have put that part of my life on pause and would love to get back to it sometime in the future. I do hit the gym 4-5 times a week and do yoga/meditation. This takes care of my physical and spiritual well being.
I have a conservative outlook on life and have a huge list of people as my heroes. Sometimes, heroes might define who someone is. In my case, I guess it is true. Just in case you are interested to know, some my heroes are: Harsha Bhogle, Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Howard Marks, Sadhguru, Rahul Dravid.
I have a MBA from Ivey business school, Canada. I don't see that as a piece of paper as large part of who I am currently is because of the degree and the exposure I got during the program. I am very thankful about it. I am currently working as a business analyst in Toronto. I have high aspirations for my career. I will always try to live a modest life even if I become affluent. My parents brought me that way and that helped me understand the value of money. I believe this way of upbringing helped me stay off any kind of bad habits.
