Her Research interests span the domains of Developmental and Cognitive Psychology extending to the Applied Domains of Learning Sciences in Language and Education (currently pursuing research studies in social, cognitive and linguistic factors of influence in children's social preferences during the formative years). She has aspirations to further her studies for skill acquisition as well as work in applied educational and performance-enhancing positive psychology settings, combining research and practical skills, to make a meaningful difference in others' lives through her career. Her Master's Program is due for completion this August 2020 at NUS, Singapore. Before the start of the Graduate Programme, she was working as part of the research team (project on transition from Singapore Kindergartens to Primary schools) at MOE-NIE funded Research longitudinal study, looking into how pedagogical experience, home and school environment influence children's developmental capabilities, school readiness and performance in later schooling.
OFF THE CAMPUS: Having completed her solo Bharatanatyam Arangetram Graduation in Indian Classical Dance in 2012, she has been exploring part-time teaching of the art form as well. She thoroughly enjoys teaching the Indian Classical Dance to children of ages 4 to 19. She still passionately continues her own learning and performance of the dance artform, along with learning of the Classical Vocal recitals in Carnatic & Hindustani Music. She fondly listens to and sings Indian film and semi-classical songs as well and has been continuously keeping herself active in the performance and competition arena since her primary school days.
Relaxation: Nature, Taking long walks, Humming softly at times loudly the classical vocal or film songs and settling down with an exciting book. She enjoys keeping fit, indulging in engaging conversations and learning new things.
