In his own words :Tough to write and express one's character on a matrimony website. Much easier to just talk and get to know about someone. Given it my best shot to give some kind of an idea about what kind of a person I am, along with some of my interests and hobbies :)
I am a straightforward, practical person, got a highly optimistic attitude towards life, down to earth, easy going, hardworking, spiritual and not very religious. Strongly believe in giving back something to the society/charity and do regular donations towards education of underprivileged children in India. Intend to contribute more in future. Believe in living life in the moment .Highly curious by nature.
I love my job. At the same time, believe in a good work/life balance. Like to keep learning new things apart from work. Left handed . Got keen interest in music and musical instruments. Enjoy playing the guitar and know to play a bit of drums. Had learnt to play the mridangam during school days. Was a member of Indian Whistler's association . Very much into staying fit/working out and passionate about playing tennis and participate in City level tournaments. Got a Black belt in Karate/Kickboxing. Regularly go for long distance running. Love reading thought provoking books (especially philosophy, astro physics and science fiction, though end up dozing if the subject is too heavy) Occasionally dabble in real life pencil sketching. Like to travel whenever possible and like visiting new places. Enjoy watching movies. I am a foodie and like to try different cuisines when I eat out. Not an expert but decent in cooking but experimental :)
Looking for someone who believes in charity, is down to earth, broad-minded, has an active lifestyle, likes to travel, and a positive outlook towards life :) Someone I can relate to and have interesting/fun conversations and some shared interests.

From our son:
Hey! I am a member of the Harvard Society of Fellows, starting my own lab in Biochemistry and Neurobiology at the Harvard Medical School. I live in Cambridge, MA.
I was born and raised in the US in Austin, Texas, which got way cooler after I left. I hopped over to Duke University for my BS, and moved to Baltimore right afterwards to get my PhD at Johns Hopkins.
I'm extremely outgoing, highly motivated, and have a love for life and learning. I love to be surrounded by my friends, but like a good netflix binge every once in a while. I'm pretty active (training for a half-marathon!) and love playing tennis, hiking, skiing, etc. I thoroughly enjoy keeping up with current events and love having political debates and learning about global political and economic policies. I have a deep love for traveling and for extreme adventure - I've been to Thailand, Iceland, Israel and Palestine, Cuba, among many other places. I strive for excellence in whatever I do, whether it be my academic pursuits or my tennis matches, and I expect the same out of the people around me.
I was raised in a traditionally Brahmin household - I've recited the Vedas since I was a kid and have a tremendous amount of respect for the power they hold and convey. I'm a firm believer in the notion that Brahmin values and western culture can co-exist. I have interrogated and challenged these beliefs and still hold to them, and I expect and hope the same of anyone that I meet through these means.
Full disclaimer before you keep reading: Growing up in the US is an absolute must for anyone that I meet through this. In addition, being in or extremely near Boston is critical, because I believe that fostering relationships in person over extended time is essential for the basis of friendship, or anything more.
We are only looking for suitable Brahmin girls who have been raised in the USA, and living in the Boston area. Our role as parents, is to do the initial screening for compatibility of the families, but beyond that it is up to Kapil and the girl to ensure mutual compatibility.
I am a direct person. I'm affectionate, supportive and progressive. Personal goals are important for one's happiness, and I'd be supportive of it. I like to play my synthesizer and create good music. I'd love to know if you like music too.
I'm an Electrical Engineer-Power and i obtained my P.E. license from the Maryland state board in December-2017. Please let me know your interest.
My H1B visa has been selected in lottery this year in 2018. Awaiting Approval.
Thanks and appreciate.
