In Shashank's own words-
Hi, I am a finance professional (CA, CFA) currently employed in Dubai as a Financial Controller at a Multinational Pharmaceuticals company.ÂÂ
I belong to a fun-loving, jovial family of four (five including my brother-in-law) where each of us occupies an equal space. We have grown to be friends more than family and take care of each other around good and bad times. With one side of the family more liberal than the other, I'd like to think I'm a fair mix of both. I respect both angles but am personally more liberal and progressive in my thoughts. I am not too religious either. I have been brought up under a good values system and try to employ it well on my way along.
Having travelled and worked in different cities across India and outside I have come to have an open and broad outlook in general.
I do not take life too seriously but take everything that comes with it very seriously - including family, friends, work and recreation. I am a simple, practical and easy-going guy with a dry sense of humor.ÂÂ
I enjoy travelling, adventure, sports and music, and it would be nice to have a partner with similar interests. I am also a curious learner and enjoy discussions on politics, sports, management, culture and philosophy.
I am looking for a partner to be at par and grow together with. Someone who is social, fun loving and adventurous, who is ready to take on all that life has to offer (including joy, laughter, fun, sadness, tragedy and boredom!)ÂÂ
Might I add that I believe in equality in marriage and otherwise, which also means I am open to relocating cities (of course subject to logistics and reason).ÂÂ

I was born in Madras. Within a few years my family relocated to beautiful Nairobi, Kenya where I was brought up and studied till high school. Growing up, I remained deeply connected to and cherished my Indian (and TamBrahm) roots, thanks to my parent's values, social circles/events, temples, and frequent holidays to India. At the same time, I also embraced Nairobi's diverse, multicultural environment.
I chose to move to Chennai for college, and to also fully experience life in India. My childhood passion for cars and tech was the driving force that led me to a campus placement at Renault-Nissan in Chennai after graduating from SRM University. As one of my core values is having an international outlook without losing Indian roots, I chose IMT-Dubai to pursue my MBA. During the MBA, I also spent a wonderful six months as an exchange student at NEOMA Business School in France, and travelled 10 countries in Europe. I graduated with an MBA in Marketing last year and completed an internship stint at Audi Volkswagen. Since November 2018, I'm working at Mercedes-Benz's Dubai HQ in Marketing/Product Management.
Outside of professional life, I love reading, driving, nature, traveling, home decor, and have recently gotten back to playing tennis. As a child, I also learnt a little bit of piano and South Indian classical music. I enjoy listening to a variety of genres depending on my mood, irrespective of language, and look forward to incorporating more music and creativity into my daily life. I'm also fond of writing and my articles have been published in leading Indian newspapers. Being an ambivert, I enjoy the occasional company of friends and relatives, but can also cherish quiet evenings either at home, or simply on a soothing drive with music.
